Boilermakers use skills such as welding, rigging, blueprint reading, and mathematics to safely fabricate, install, maintain, and modify liquid pressure systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects. Requires situational awareness, spatial relations, comfort with heights, physical fitness, computational reasoning, improvisational problem solving, mechanical intuition, ability to read blueprints, and communication skills.
