Electricians have numerous specialties including the following areas (and more):
Low Voltage electricians deal with systems that carry less powerful electrical loads and include applications like landline telecommunication systems, closed-circuit television systems, fiber optic systems, or broadband systems.
Residential Electricians wire residential homes for power; wiring is sheathed in plastic for protection and is located in attics or crawl spaces to keep residents safe.
Commercial Electricians work in business environments like retail stores or restaurants; wiring may be run through open areas to permit access but is located in tubes called conduits.
Industrial Electricians help construct or maintain high voltage systems for industrial manufacturing or production facilities with highly specialized equipment.
